Delaware Watergap National Recreation Area

This is the principal local attraction. This gorgeous park has trails for hiking, mountain biking, birding, etc. There are several local operators offering canoe/kayaking tours, from very calm waters, to class 3 rapids. On one stretch of the river , we almost always see bald eagles. Ask Randy about the beaver pond and nickamed 'Frog Falls' off Big Egypt Road. Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is nearby. This attraction features several hiking trails and environmental awareness programs.

Local Waterfalls

Randy has visited many of the local falls. Pictured below in alphabetical order are Buck Hill, Bushkill, Deer Leep, Dingman's, Fulmer, Raymondskill, Resica, Silver Thread and Winona Falls.
